Get Ready for Income Tax Season

How often have you been advised to do the most difficult thing on your "to do" list first?

Perhaps the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) heard that, too.

This month the IRS announced a number of changes with respect to filing income tax returns.

One of the filing changes has to do with a topic near and dear to many a taxpayer's heart:  refunds. Some will be delayed in 2017.

What?

A new tax law stipulates tax returns claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit, cannot be issued refunds by the IRS before February 15, 2017.
