Using our Computers
Starting Friday 6-11-2021 adults and older teens can sign themselves to use the open computers on the 4th floor while the library is open. The patrons are encouraged to limit the usage to one 2 hour session per day. They may extend the usage depending on the availabily of other PCs. Patrons without library cards may use a guest pass to sign in. The 2 express computers will remain available to anyone.
All of our computers are equipped with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Adobe Reader, 7 Zip software & Zoom are also installed on these PCs. Patrons have access to Printers.
The IT help desk is staffed on all open hours to help you with computer related questions. You can also sign up for our virtual computer classes to learn more about popular computer and technology topics
The Second floor computers (kids through 8th graders) are currently unavailable.
Using our Laptops
Laptops are available for teens & adults to check out on both 3rd floor & 4th floor with a library card & proper ID. These are for Library use only.
Using our Wi-Fi
Wireless Internet access is available through the library. DPPL Wi-Fi coverage extends throughout the plaza to the north, east and west of the building, and in most areas of the parking garage as well.
You can use your mobile device to download free ebooks. You even can print wirelessly too!
If you are bringing your own device to use in the library, please be aware that we:
- Cannot guarantee consistent speeds, quality of connection, or access.
- Cannot troubleshoot your computer or connection.
- Are not responsible for damage, theft, or loss of any kind.
- We also expect that you will:
- Protect your own privacy and security while online
- Not do anything illegal or against library policies
