Twenty years ago today, on my 25th birthday, I woke up in a lousy apartment in the city and when I turned on the bathroom light I was greeted by a sink full of roaches. Happy Birthday Joanie.

Today, I turned 45.

And I woke up to one grumpy dog and one VERY excited puppy.

I had to get two groggy girls off to two different school in two different directions at the same time. I did a load of laundry, emptied the dishwasher, took one VERY excited puppy for a walk and then went to work.

I loved this morning! So much better than being 25, right?

Pokemon Go is the newest sensation and all over the news and social media.  It is an augmented reality game you play on your Android or iPhone.  Unlike virtual reality, which substitutes your visual experience, augmented reality takes the real world and adds an extra layer to it.  Just like how we used Aurasma to see into the future of the library’s renovation project, Pokemon Go lets you see through the eyes of a Pokemon trainer.

I got the pop-up from Microsoft months and months ago inviting me to upgrade to Windows 10. Given past experiences with upgrades, I have been wary and have put off what Microsoft says is good for me. Then while reading the Personal Tech column in the New York Times, I was reminded that there is a deadline to get the free upgrade - July 29th.
