Teen Book Boxes

UPDATE:

REGISTRATION FOR THE SPRING SESSION IS NOW FULL. SIGNUPS FOR THE SUMMER SESSION WILL BEGIN IN EARLY MAY.

Some people spend $30-$40 a month on different book subscription services.

That’s $360 a year!

Of course, some people also like to buy movies. Or board games. Or GoPros.

But here at the library, we’re continuing to do what we do best: Offering you awesome trendy things at no additional cost.

For any teen that loves books, or any teen that maybe needs a little help loving books, our Teen Book Boxes are for you!

What are Teen Book Boxes? Simple!

Here’s an example from Hinsdale Public Library

Step 1: You fill out a short form HERE telling us the kinds of things you like to read (or like in general). This will count as your registration for our Spring Session (March, April, and May).

Step 2: We pick out a book that we think you’ll love and put it in one of our boxes with some fun bookish goodies.

Step 3: After the 5th of the Month, you can come to the 3rd Floor Desk to check out your box and take it home to reveal the fun things we’ve chosen for you!

Step 4: Once you’ve read the book, you can return the book and the box on the 1st Floor. (The goodies are yours to keep)

Step 5: Come in after the 5th of the next month to get your next box!

Registration spots are limited, so make sure to fill yours out today to get started on your new reading adventure.

This service is for teens in 7th - 12th grade.

Any questions? Call the Third Floor Desk at 847-376-2913 or email ReadersServicesDesk@dppl.org.
