Become a DPPL Trustee. Deadline to Apply May 12th.

Do you love the library?  Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity in Des Plaines?

Two  library board trustee positions are coming to an end in June.

One is a three-year full term and one is a two-year replacement-term position.

We are compiling a list of possible candidates to submit to Mayor Matt Bogusz for consideration to fill those vacant seats. Unlike some other communities where trustees are elected,  DPPL trustee positions are mayoral appointments. If you would like to be considered:

Please send a cover letter and resume/vita  to library board president Dr. Greg Sarlo, at and Des Plaines Mayor Matt Bogusz  by Friday May 12, 2017.

DPPL board members must be residents of incorporated Des Plaines.
