Photo of male reference librarian assisting patron
We can serve as a proctoring site for your professional or student examination. There is no charge for this service. Please look at the following FAQs or contact Roberta S. Johnson at 847-376-2816 or rjohnson@dppl.org for more information. You may fax information to Roberta Johnson at 847-827-7974.

Any of the 4th floor Reference staff can act as your proctor when you take the test.

FAQs

When can I take my exam?
The library is open M-F 9 to 9, Saturday 9 to 5 and Sunday 1 to 5. We suggest you don’t schedule your exam in the last hour the library is open.

My test needs to be taken online. Can you help me?
Yes. The computers for adults (over 15) are on the fourth floor. You can stop in at any time and we will get you on a computer. We can only sign you up for an hour: if you need more time, ask the Reference staff.

I have a paper test. How does that work?
We can book a private study room on the fourth floor for you. Call or email Roberta S. Johnson to do so (see above). The library staff cannot stay in the room with you, but they will check on you every so often during the exam period.

My school has to mail/email the exam or information about the exam. Who do they send it to?
Send it to:
