The Des Plaines Public Library is Going Green With You
Welcome to the library's new resource for "green" information.
Here you will find useful information from trustworthy sources on topics like:
- Going green at home and in the workplace;
- Reducing your carbon footprint as well as the number of natural resources consumed each year;
- Properly recycling many different kinds of materials;
- Getting the facts on environmental issues from government agencies as well as published news sources;
- Teaching children how to "go green" and why environmentally-friendly behavior really makes a difference.
We will also use this space to inform you about ways in which DPPL is becoming more green and about special library programs relating to how we care for the Earth and our environment. Our "Going Green" collection will be updated frequently, so check back with us and don't forget to send us your suggestions and insights, too, by emailing us at: GoGreen@dppl.org
