Computer Classes

Classes are held in the Computer Lab on the fourth floor. Most classes are a 2 hour, 1 session, hands-on class.

Register at the 4th floor Reference Services Desk, call 847-376-2841 or register online.

Registration begins on the 15th of each month.

Basic Computers Skills

Learn how to use a mouse, move between programs, resize windows, move windows, and more.

Introduction to the Internet

New to the Internet? This class teaches how to go to websites, how to navigate the library website and catalog, and how to perform basic Internet searches. Mouse skills required.

Intermediate Internet Searching

If you would like tips on searching the Internet more effectively, this class is for you. You will also learn how to find newspaper and magazine articles using the library’s databases. Mouse skills required.

Drop-In Email Assistance

This informal drop-in session focuses on working with email. A librarian will be on hand to help you set up an email account or solve your email related problems.
