• Q: What do I need to download items from MyMediaMall?

A: A valid Des Plaines Public Library card; access to the Internet; free software which is available from the MyMediaMall Web site.

• Q: Will MyMediaMall audiobooks play on my iPod?

A: Yes! Any of the MyMediaMall audiobooks in the mp3 format will work on your iPod. For a full list of compatible devices and formats, please click this link.

• Q: How many steps does it take to start enjoying MyMediaMall content?

A: It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1) Download and install free software. When you're ready to check out items at MyMediaMall, you will be instructed on how to do this. No guesswork and the software is easy to install.

2) Register the software to activate your account. Again, you will be prompted on how to do this.

3) Check out your selections with your DPPL card number, download and enjoy! MyMediaMall uses the familiar "Shopping Cart" technology, so it's easy to browse and select your items.

4) Ready to take the audiobooks off your mp3 player/iPod? Remember - you manage the content via your computer. So, delete the audiobook from your computer, then plug in your device and tell your computer to update your player. It should remove the books, freeing up space for new materials.
