Board Meetings

Regular monthly Board meetings are held at the library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the second floor Conference Room. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. 

Each quarter, one Library Board meeting is videotaped and subsequently televised on Channel 17 in Des Plaines. Check the program schedule for broadcast dates and times.

The members of the board are residents of Des Plaines appointed by the Mayor for 3 year terms. The board is responsible for setting policies and procedures to provide for the library's financial stability and the community's service needs. The board has adopted Vision and Belief Statements to aid in these decisions.
