Library Administrator hosts new television
series
Library Administrator Sandra Norlin
is the host of "Check In @ Your Library," a new
30-minute television series on the Library Cable Network, channel
24 in Des Plaines. "Check In @ Your Library" is a
roundtable discussion about the newest trends in libraries.
Panelists are Roberta
Johnson, Head of Readers' Services at the library, Holly
Richards Sorensen, Head of Adult Services at the library,
and Sarah Long, Director of the North Suburban Library
System and Past President of the American Library
Association.

Programs are presented two at a
time on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. A new episode
premieres on Wednesday, June 13. New episodes premiere on the
second Wednesday of every month and are repeated throughout the
month. Library Cable Network is a consortium of six libraries in
the northwest suburban Chicago area. Programs videotaped at the
member libraries are shown in all six communities on the local
Library Cable Network channel.

YOUR LIBRARY
On Sunday, August 5,
representatives from Library Cable Network (LCN), Channel 24, will
answer questions, give away gifts, and accept orders for free
program guides.
