The fourth floor is the red floor. Housed here are nonfiction books,
traditional reference materials, back issues of magazines and
newspapers, study rooms, and computers with Internet access.
An installation by Chicago sculptor Fred Nagelbach enhances the reading area in the
northwest corner of the fourth floor.
Public computers with Internet access are available on the fourth
floor. Our microfilm and microfiche readers are also located
on this floor.
The fourth floor has individual study carrels and study rooms that
are available for meetings and small groups.
The terrace on the fourth floor, which has outdoor
café style seating, provides a spectacular view of downtown
Des Plaines.
