Dewey's Back - and Better Than Ever!

Join us for our annual fundraiser, "Do the Dewey," on Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 7 - 10 PM. Proceeds benefit the Des Plaines Public Library and the Rotary Club of Des Plaines. Tickets are $35 in advance (why not buy them online?), $40 at the door. The price includes food, soft drinks, beer, wine and three hours of amazing, interactive entertainment, including:

• The swingin' sounds of Bopology, one of Chicago's premier show bands;
  
• CSI:Dewey - two police officers/authors recreate a crime scene and you help solve the mystery;
  
• Gourmet chocolate and artisan cheese tastings;
  
• Airbrush tattoos from Body Art by Allison;
  
• Taste gourmet oils and vinegars from around the world, courtesy of The Olive Tap in Long Grove;
  
• Chair massage;
  
• Get on board the Wii craze - try Wii Fit;
• Bring your digital camera and learn from the experts in the DP Camera Club - print out your work to take home;
• Watercolor painting demonstration with local artist Thelma Spain;
• Learn about herbs and take home free samples from Herbal Treasures;
• Experience mind-reading, palm reading and more with the Strolling Psychic Sorcerer;
• Relieve stress and de-clutter your life with clutter expert Rita Emmett;
• Try your luck with our scavenger hunt for $$$, raffles for prizes like Cubs tickets and Arlington Park passes and a beautiful strand of lustrous pearls, courtesy of Heather Wahl and Wahl Jewelers, a silent auction for unique, one-of-a-kind prizes, and our cool wine raffle - buy a bottle of wine and you'll automatically receive a "mystery" gift certificate.
