BookChecker
 Ever been browsing at your favorite online bookseller (i.e. Amazon or Barnes & Noble) and wondered if a particular book was also available at the Des Plaines Public Library?
Well, wonder no more! Try BookChecker. It's fast, simple and convenient.
- RIGHT CLICK on one or both of the BookChecker links below - you'll get an option to save the link to your Bookmarks or Favorites.
- BookChecker will then be saved in the "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" you have in your Web browser (IE, Firefox, Netscape or Safari).
- Next time you find a great book listed in an online bookstore, go to your Favorites/Bookmarks and click on the DPPL BookChecker or CCS BookChecker.
- A new window will open up to show you that book in our Library Catalog, if the book is in our collection. From this window you can determine if the book is on the shelf and even place a hold on the item. If you use the CCS BookChecker, it will check all 25 libraries and you can still place a hold with your DPPL card.
- Please note: BookChecker will not work if you have your pop-up blocker enabled.
