QuickMenu Save Document

Warning! QuickMenu may have been blocked by IE-SP2's active content option. This browser feature blocks JavaScript from running locally on your computer.

This warning will not display once the menu is on-line. To enable the menu locally, click the yellow bar above, and select "Allow Blocked Content".

To permanently enable active content locally...

1: Select 'Tools' --> 'Internet Options' from the IE menu.
2: Click the 'Advanced' tab.
3: Check the 2nd option under 'Security' in the tree (Allow active content to run in files on my computer.)

BookChecker

Ever been browsing at your favorite online bookseller (i.e. Amazon or Barnes & Noble) and wondered if a particular book was also available at the Des Plaines Public Library?

Well, wonder no more! Try BookChecker. It's fast, simple and convenient.

RIGHT CLICK on the BookChecker link below - then choose the option of saving the link to your Bookmarks or Favorites.

BookChecker will then be saved in the "Favorites" or "Bookmarks" you have in your Web browser (IE, Firefox, Netscape or Safari).
Next time you find a great book listed in an online bookstore, go to your Favorites/Bookmarks and click on the DPPL BookChecker.
A new window will open up to show you that book in our Library Catalog, if the book is in our collection. From this window you can determine if the book is on the shelf and even place a hold on the item.
Please note: BookChecker will not work if you have your pop-up blocker enabled.
