Currently open volunteer positions are listed below. These are all ongoing volunteer positions, and we ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of 3 months of volunteer service.

Description: Volunteer calls patrons for materials they have placed on hold and uses the
computer to type-up and print out the name of the patron and pickup date
on a hold wrapper. Volunteer also arranges the materials alphabetically on
a cart by the last name on the hold wrapper.
Skills Needed: Pleasant telephone voice. Good communication skills. Accurate typing and
alphabetizing skills.
Reports To: Circulation Services
Hours Per Day/Week: Monday afternoons 1-3 p.m. or Tuesday mornings 11-2 p.m.

PICKLIST VOLUNTEER
Description: Volunteer takes a prepared list of materials that patrons have put on hold and
goes up to the appropriate floor to collect the materials.
Skills Needed: Excellent vision, mobility to walk around the floor, strength to push a cart
for the collected materials, and the ability to work by yourself.
Reports To: Circulation Services
Hours Per Day/Week: Tuesdays or Thursdays 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

HOMEBOUND DELIVERY
Description: These volunteers deliver materials to our homebound patrons and deposit collections at various institutions
Skills Needed: Good social and communication skills. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Must provide own transportation

Assignment Period: ongoing
