The Des Plaines Public Library serves a catalyst, advocate and place to advance the vision and ideals of our community.

Strategic Planning Goals - Work, Learn and Play

  1. The businesses and workforce of Des Plaines make full use of the library’s services and resources to advance our community’s economic quality of life

  2. The residents of Des Plaines recognize and use the library as a center for lifelong learning.
