Librarian Exchange

Uriel Montes, a librarian from the Benjamin Franklin Library, visited the Des Plaines Public Library for a week in September, 2007.

In April, 2008, Jill Franklin, a librarian from the Des Plaines Public Library, visited the Benjamin Franklin Library. Both observed differences and similarities in how each other’s libraries provide service to the public. Each went home with lots of ideas to share with their coworkers. They also got a good taste of their host country’s culture and improved their English and Spanish speaking skills.
