Fiction/Non-Fiction/Biographies

Fiction is arranged alphabetically by the author's last name.

Nonfiction is shelved according to the Dewey Decimal System, which divides subject groups into ten broad areas.

400  Language
500  Pure Science
600  Technology
700  Arts
800  Literature
900  Travel/History

Biographies are filed alphabetically by the subject's last name (i.e. Lincoln, Abraham). Biographies of artists, musicians, actors and sports stars are classified in the 700's.
