Representatives from the Biblioteca Benjamin Franklín visited the Des Plaines Public Library.

September 16, 2005

Architects and librarians from Mexico visited the Des Plaines Public Library during their visit to the Chicago area to gather information and ideas for the construction of the new Jalisco Public Library.

November 2005

Members of the Des Plaines Public Library staff attended the International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico and visited the Biblioteca Benjamin Franklín for the first time.

While in Guadalajara, staff from the libraries exchanged symbols of participation in the Sister Libraries project.
