Centennial Programs
Turning 100 is certainly a milestone! In 2007, the library celebrated its centennial anniversary with special programs, activities, handouts and giveaways from January through October. Throughout the year, there were anniversary-themed displays at the library, some presented in cooperation with the Des Plaines History Center (The Kinder House, current home of the History Center, also had its 100th birthday during 2007). We present these archived Web pages to you as sort of a virtual "time capsule" of our Centennial year, as we celebrated the past while continuing to create the future.
